  • Every year, on November 11, India celebrates National Education Day to mark the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India.

History and Significance of National Education Day

  • All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)
    Azad helped establish AICTE to promote and coordinate technical education across India.

  • Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur
